Common questions
Facial Aesthetics Consultation FAQs
What happens at the consultation?
We discuss what concerns you, your medical history, medicines and relevant health
information, and assess facial anatomy and movement. Appropriate options, limitations
and risks can then be discussed. You are not obliged to proceed with treatment.
Why might I see two clinicians?
Bex carries out the aesthetic consultation and, where appropriate, administration.
If the option being considered requires a prescription, Chris carries out his own
clinical assessment before deciding whether prescribing is appropriate.
Can I be assessed remotely?
Not where prescribing is required for an elective non-surgical cosmetic procedure.
The independent nurse prescriber carries out the appropriate clinical assessment
face to face.
Does booking mean I will receive treatment?
No. A consultation is an assessment and discussion. Treatment may not be clinically
appropriate, and you can also choose not to proceed after hearing the available information.
Can you tell me in advance exactly what I will need?
Not responsibly. Facial anatomy, movement, medical history and individual goals differ.
Recommendations are made only after an appropriate assessment.
Will the consultation include risks and alternatives?
Yes. Informed consent requires a balanced discussion of potential benefits,
limitations and material risks, relevant alternatives and the option not to undergo treatment.
What if I am not suitable?
Clinical suitability takes priority over proceeding with a booked service.
Where appropriate, another option or no intervention may be recommended instead.
